The Story of a Photographer
Welcome, I'm Maddison, the photographer for your next session! I’m also a wife, a daughter of Christ, a dog and cat mom (little humans eventually), and someone who’s endlessly inspired by the stories we find all around us, in the big and small moments of life.
I've realized, stories and storytelling have fueled my decisions for a long time, including on my professional journey—from a career in marketing to my work behind the camera. Photography, in particular, found me early thanks to grandparents on both sides of the family, who passed down their love for capturing beautiful things through a lens. After fumbling through career choices for a few years, in 2018, I found my way back to my camera and let my love of storytelling and an entrepreneurial spirit propel me into this business. Since then, I've been honored to help people tell their stories with images that feel honest, natural, and deeply personal.
This wasn't all just chance though. My faith, and ever growing relationship with Jesus lead every step. Without God, I wouldn’t be here doing the work I love and I would be remiss not to discuss something so vitally important to who I am. I believe photography should reflect that same appreciation for our journey in life: raw, real, and full of heart.

A little more about your photographer...
Beyond the technical, I also bring my clients a perspective shaped by my own journey through chronic illness and life’s tougher seasons—experiences that have taught me to treasure every fleeting, imperfect, and beautiful moment. Just know, in finding me, you've found someone who can and will meet you not only at your best, but your worst moments too. I am genuinely thrilled to be a small part of your story.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me adventuring with my husband, curled up for movie nights, my nose tucked in a good book, listening to my favorite Jesus tunes, or finding peace in the quiet in-between spaces. A few little facts to get to know me better:
- I'm originally from the beautiful Rocky Mountain state of Colorado—but I'm enjoying living the beach life here in Florida!
- My husband and I actually met because of photography. Organically, out in the wild (whoa, right?), after I did a wedding.
- My go to drink? A lavender matcha latte! Or an earthy spiced Chai!
- Favorite vacation? Easily, Morocco—I'm still inspired by the people, the colors, the textures, and stories I heard there.
- Favorite color? Green, all shades.
- My favorite TV Show? The Chosen, for something deeper and I love other sitcoms like Friends, which I play often in the background while I work or clean.
- Favorite Movie? That's so hard to answer, there's so many good ones out there! My all-time favorite nostalgic movies and books are, of course, the Harry Potter series. I am SO excited to live in Florida while the new Universal Park is being unveiled. Hello, Ministry of Magic.
